Silver Falcon
O silver falcon soaring through earth's skies
Marrying the lands of day and night
Carrying souls towards far destinies,
I watch the star-fields cast their gathered light
Patterning a world of random chance –
Or so it seems when I deny these eyes
The deeper view that sees all happenstance
Significant with occult mysteries.
For through the dust of darkness that belies
The mind's perception of a void of space,
I see beyond the heavenly disguise
The white beginnings of a godlike race.
